Switch LAS NAP is a 235,000 sf co-location data center facility located in Clark County, NV. The roof is a 2-level metal building system with brace-rod diaphragm. The rafters are supported by intermediate reinforced tip-up concrete sheer walls and HSS steel columns. The main building height is 30’-10” to the gable ridge, and the entire building is covered by roof-top rain shield structure providing a redundant roof system which exceeds up to 45’-3”. There is a 2-story office area containing a free-standing 11,000 sf mezzanine comprised of concrete-fillers composite decking bearing on composite steel beams and intermediate reinforced CMU bearing walls. The entrance canopy is comprised of built-up, radiused cellular beams on HSS columns with an AESS finish. The material/erect cost for the steel portion is 11M.

Ardy earned his PhD in structural engineering in 2012. He has 15 years of experience in structural design of new construction, retrofit and rehabilitation projects for different types of buildings. Having hands on experience in industrial, commercial and residential buildings, Ardy has served as the design lead for more than 100 projects across the US (mostly in California)
