Lifelong Medical Facility is a new medical office building around 30,000 sf in 3 stories located in Oakland, CA. This building includes two stories of office space and a surface level garage. The lateral system used is Buckling Resisting Brace (BRB) frames in one direction and Special Moment Frames (SMF) in the other direction. This is a Design-Build project, and our client is BlueScope Conventional Steel Services (Structural Steel Fabricator). Estimated construction cost for this project is $20M and it is in DD phase now.

Ardy earned his PhD in structural engineering in 2012. He has 15 years of experience in structural design of new construction, retrofit and rehabilitation projects for different types of buildings. Having hands on experience in industrial, commercial and residential buildings, Ardy has served as the design lead for more than 100 projects across the US (mostly in California)
