Bayer Corporation (also known as Bayer USA) is the American subsidiary of Bayer AG. Artin was selected as the structural engineering consultants for the 68th building that is now being built in Berkley, CA. The project included approximately 32,000 sq.ft of Roof Area, and 7000 sq.ft of mezzanine in manufacturing area. The structural system is Steel Frames with BRBF (Buckling Restraint Braced Frame System).
The Rochester at Blue Parkway is a mixed -use building on the pad site adjacent to 4001 Blue Parkway Kansas City, MO. This is a 80,000 SF new construction project and Artin has been selected as the consultant to furnish engineering services related to the referenced project Blue Parkway Apartments or “Active Living Building”. The project includes 65 units of residential market-rate, a modest lobby, a small wellness/check-up room at ground floor, as well as rooftop amenity.
Hotel Clariana is one of the historical buildings in the Downtown San Jose area. The building today is listed in the National Register of Historic Places as a contributing building in the San Jose Downtown Commercial Historic District. Artin is the structural design consultant for 46,000 sq. ft addition to this beautiful historic building. The addition includes a 6-story building to the existing building.

The Offices at Overlook is Phase I of a bigger project located in Swope Parkway. This three story building has around 63,000 sq.ft of office space with unique architectural design features. The balconies on opposite corners of each floor gives it a special look. The structural system for this building is steel frames with concentrically braced frames as the lateral system.

The existing building is a 20,000 sq. foot, one story, load-bearing CMU building in Kansas City, MO, with bar joists supporting metal deck topped by a Hypalon membrane roof system. The floor slab is an elevated concrete slab over a 48" to 60" tall crawl space that covers the entire building plan area. Partition walls are sheet rock over metal studs.
This renovation project is still in design phase and Artin is the structural engineering consultant on Finkle+Williams Architecture team.
The construction cost for this project will be $14M.
